Our Last Day in Kazakhstan

Matt decided that it would be lots of fun to play for a couple of hours in the middle of the night last night starting around 1 AM. By 1:45 Mommy had enough and decided that he needed to realize that night time is for sleeping. However, after a couple of minutes Mike sprung him from his crib for fear of waking everyone in the hotel. Boy can this kid let you know when he's angry! So I spent a good bit of the night with Matt in bed between us playing with his toys, climbing on us and telling us all kinds of stories. It was very cute, but we were awfully tired today. By 6:15 everyone was up for the day. We had lots of fun playing with the boys this morning and watching them "play" with each other. Tim loves to try to hold Matt, although after about a minute he complains that Matt is too heavy and he is all done holding him.
We treated ourselves to the breakfast buffet at the Hyatt this morning. It was very good and even Tim ate.

While Matt napped and Tim watched a movie Mike and I were able to get the majority of the packing done. We told Tim that as long as he took his nap or at least had some quiet time, we would take him to Fantasy World this afternoon. He was very excited and told us, "See, I told you I was going to be a good boy today." Fantasy World was very nice. It is very clean and the majority of the rides are for young children. Tim had a great time!


Matt is underwhelmed by his first trip to an amusement park.


After one last trip to the Gros supermarket for supplies for Matt for the trip home, we headed to Tim's pizza restaurant for an early dinner.

Both boys were in bed before 8 PM, we finished up the dregs of the packing and will try to get a little sleep ourselves soon since we are being picked up at 3:30 AM for our flight home. The Almaty-Heathrow leg should be interesting since we will have to hold Matt the whole time because BMED does not have bassinets on their planes. We can only hope that after that experience we are able to get a bassinet on the Heathrow-Dulles leg. I'm sure the trip home will provide plenty of material for more blog updates! :-))

Overall, our experience in Kazakhstan had been very positive, but it sure will be good to be home with both our boys! Looking forward to updating everyone once we arrive home.
